Children's Service Profile Information

Children’s Service Profile Web Site.

The previous Education Profile web site is now being re-constructed to be the Children’s Service Profile. Over the coming months it will be continually developing to reflect more fully the 5 outcomes for children and the full partnership work in the city.  It already contains a considerable amount of information on Health outcomes, post 16 participation, school attainment and inclusion etc.

The site will be designed to inform and support the planning and delivery of local services at a range of levels, and to help identify priority areas, with data held within CYPD that is either generated internally or provided by partner agencies. The Research and Analysis Team are actively engaging with colleagues in Health, Police and Youth Offending Team, Sheffield Futures, LSC and the Voluntary and Community Sector to add to the current basket of information that is available and are committed to making this data available to the widest possible audience, within the constraints of data agreements with partner agencies.

The site is organised in the following way:

City Profile
This area provides the Needs Analysis suite of documents covering the 5 outcome areas prepared to support Annual Performance Assessment (APA) and Joint Area Review (JAR). This section of the site shows trends, benchmarks, and key targets for the city.

Area Profile
This area of the site provides demographic and socio economic information, as well as outcomes connected to the 5 outcomes for Every Child Matters. Drill down is possible through Service District and neighbourhood levels.

Institution Profile
This area is still largely the schools area which is password protected. It provides more detailed comparative and individual institution profiles that can support self evaluation and review. In time information about other institutions (Children’s Centres, Post 16 provision, etc) will be available and more complex access code information will allow access to some school data for non school browsers.
