Getting to School Consultation
Welcome to the Getting to School consultation page. The consultation period (3rd November - 5th December 2008) has now finished.

Thank you to everyone who took part in the Getting to School Consultation.

Over 800 children and young people took part in the consultation through an online questionnaire.

In addition to this, approximately 7,000 children and young people aged 0-19+ took part in the Every Child Matters Consultation questionnaire. Some young people also took part in 25 focus groups. Some of the questions asked were related to school travel.

The findings of the Getting to School consultation and a summary of the full consultation can be found in the reports below.

The results of the consultation are being used to inform the final Home to School Travel Strategy, a draft of which can be found at www.sheffield.gov.uk/gettingtoschool/.

The final Home to School Travel Strategy, which will contain an action plan, is expected to be published in June 2009, so please check back on this web page to find out exactly how we will be acting on the comments and opinions of all those that took part in the consultation.
